Aunjanue An. Ellis Taylor, American actor and producer. She received a BA at Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she obtained an MFA. Aunjanue Ellis. Ellis, the American actor and producer who has performed in theatre and TV and films as also, has been actively involved on both sides of the screen. She started acting on stage before appearing in mainstream, independent, and television series. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw, a character on ABC's Quantico. On BET's epic show The Book of Negroes she played the role of Ariel. She did not only receive critical acclaim for her character, she also received a few awards and nominations. In 1995, she was the first to appear as Ariel on stage in The Tempest. The stage credits she has received include The Broadway production that Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. In her film career, she is best known for her roles in films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. In the world of television, her character in the ABC's crime drama High Incident is well known.
